Our Community Garden will be helping pollinators by leaving a portion of grass by the Native Plant Pollinator Garden at Section 3 un-mowed in May and into the summer. Still room for sitting in the sun or picnicking!
The Environmental Youth Alliance (EYA), is a local charity engaging children and youth facing barriers in environmental stewardship. The final phase of the Cypress native plant and pollinator project was celebrated on Aug 27. The butterflies have now gone into winter hibernation; they will re-emerge next spring.
